Kobe’s owner was unable to take him when she moved. Lizz Koedam, a dedicated animal rescuer, took Kobe in and discovered that he might make a good service dog. Service dogs are specially trained to help people with severe ambulatory and other physical disabilities. They may be trained to perform over 100 different tasks such as opening and closing doors, retrieving dropped objects, pulling wheelchairs, turning lights on or off, and obtaining food from the refrigerator.

Koebe was sent to Pam Scordas for training at the St. Francis Assisi Service Dog Foundation. Kobe graduated from his service dog training and is a certified Service dog. Kobe has a boy of his own to love and aid. For further information about service dogs please contact:
